Digital Project Life 2014, Week 7; and 2013 Week 14. Scrapbook pages The Lego Movie, and Easter Sunday 2013

I made this page for Mason's scrapbook because this was his first time in a movie theater. It was an "awesome" movie and we want to go back with the rest of the family.

This is an insert about Easter Sunday 2013. I made extra copies to put in Marley's and Mason's scrapbooks - one of the best things about digital scrapbooking - how easy it is to make extra copies.

Moving right along with 2013. Only 4 weeks left!

And that's all for today people.....

Throwback Thursday - Kristen and her Denis Browne Bar

When Kristen started to stand on her own it became noticeable that her feet turned in.  Actually, we  noticed it before that, but when she was 9 months old her pediatrician, Dr. Stirlacci, wrote me a prescription for corrective shoes.  I remember the day so clearly.  My grandmother had gone with me to the pediatrician's office and we took the prescription to Brooslin Shoes on Sumner Ave. in Springfield.  I was so shocked to see what the salesman came out with; little white shoes with open toes attached to a bar with screw type things underneath the bar that kept the shoes at a certain angle.  He proceeded to try them on her and I had all I could do not to cry in the store.  I took them off her before we left; I wasn't even sure that I could get her in her car seat with them on.  As soon as I got in the car I started to cry.  My poor grandmother tried to comfort me but she didn't know what to make of it either.

Kristen, on the other hand, wasn't bothered by it at all.  She soon learned how to crawl with them on and to pull herself up on things and balance on one screw while twirling around!

She wore them for three months, and then went to straight last shoes (they are neither left or right, but straight).  I'm not sure how long she wore those, probably until she outgrew them.  Her feet still turned in a little bit after that, but gradually she grew out of it.

Digital scrapbook pages - 4th Annual Mason and Marley Zoo Picture, Playing or reading in the leaves, Mason's first time at the Singing Christmas Tree

I have been really getting into digital scrapbooking lately. I have never really enjoyed the "crafty" part of scrapbooking and doing it digitally with templates, pictures and stories totally fits my style.

So, I thought I would share with you the latest pages that I have been working on.

Okay, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Throwback Thursday (early) - Lots of snow!

At last count today we had 11.5 inches of snow in Feeding Hills. It got me thinking about the pictures that my Aunt Dot took when she was young of friends and family out in the snow. She also took pictures of her friends in cemeteries. Maybe that was popular back then.

Anyhow, this is a picture of my mother and father when they were dating. Dot always talked about how much snow they used to get back then.

I'm sure that if I were to talk with Dot about all the snow we had today, she would remind me that this is the way winters were when she was young.

Digital Project Life 2014, Week 4; and 2013 Week 11. Scrapbook page - You've Got Style

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures this week, so I decided that the second half of Week 4 would be a digital page. I will also put this into Mason's scrapbook. He is a character and has so many unique little quirks.

I am also trying to "catch up" with some weeks in 2013 and finished Week 11, March 10-16.
