Coloring Eggs

This afternoon we colored Easter eggs. Of course we all made a big deal about this being Mason's first Easter egg coloring day. He did have fun playing with the extra plastic egg dying cups.

He is really crawling now. Our easy nonmobile days are definitely over.

Auntie Kris made him a new knitted toy. He seemed to really like it.

P.S. Marley's 3rd grade Sunday School class created a message on the fence with cups - He is risen! Happy Palm Sunday!

Bash Bish Falls - Again

After the nice weather last week, Paul and I thought that maybe we might be able to get in an early kayaking today, but it was much too cold. Instead, we took a ride to Mt. Washington and Bash Bish Falls. The last time we went there, we took the "short route" down the mountain. Yikes. It was awful, rocky, steep (especially coming back up)and so this time we decided to take the "long way", 3/4 mile on a beautiful easy walk. We didn't actually walk down to the base of the falls; it was too chilly. After that we took a ride into New York state to a favorite little diner of ours. Nice day!

Friendly's tradition

Tonight Paul, Marley and I went to the Easter presentation at Bethany. It has become a tradition after the Christmas and the Easter presentation to go to Friendly's. Marley usually gets the same thing. I don't know what the name of it is but it has three scoops of ice cream and three toppings. She has had some interesting combinations over the years!

Tonight there was a near tragedy. I wanted Paul to take a picture of Marley and her ice cream and my camera was not in my pocketbook. I had left it on the pew in church. Paul zipped over there while we finished up our ice cream (with me nearly having heartburn/indigestion). Thank goodness it was still on the pew. Of course we sit in the second seat up front. I guess there is not that much traffic way up there! All's well that ends well.

Cold Bug!

I'm afraid this cold bug has invaded my house. Last Tuesday, the day we were coming home from Pennsylvania, Paul felt like he was coming down with a cold. He didn't really feel human again until Saturday. He was really miserable with a cold. This week it hit me. It started with a stomach pain and then turned into a cold. I have been out of work for three days and my nose is still running like a faucet (I know, gross). I need to feel better by tomorrow!

Trip to Delaware and PA

Paul and I went to Delaware for the weekend for my aunt Esther's 80th birthday! We drove down in one of the worst rain storms ever. Thank God for Rainex. Ettie knew something was up for her birthday but she sure was surprised to see us there. It was sad that my Dad and Dot couldn't be there, but that is just the way things are now. It was so nice to see everyone again, and to meet for the first time my cousin Lynda's granddaughter Sophia. What a cutie. Lynda and Ray are smitten (as are the rest of the family). We spent Saturday night and Sunday there and on Monday morning headed out to Lancaster to the Amish country for an overnight. What a fun weekend. I made a mental note to get down to my cousin's more often! If you want to see more pictures, go here.

Another Sunday afternoon

Remember how much Izzy loves her cat video? Well, now she has company. Minnie seems to like it almost as much!

P.S. Mason is just about crawling now, frontwards.

Birthday celebration

One of the girls that I work with had a birthday today. Her 9 year old granddaughter in California had sent her a birthday card and asked her to write back to her. I thought it would be cute to take a picture of her grandmother and her co-workers at her desk at work! I really like the girls that I work with.
