Throwback Thursday - A little tease

Lately, Mason has been into teasing Marley.  The more she gets upset, the more he does it.  I tell her to ignore him, that he only does it to get a rise out of her.  I told her about how Uncle Mark used to tease her mother unmercifully and when I would tell her to ignore him she would whine, "I can't."  Now Marley says the same thing.

A while ago Marley said to him, "Mason, don't be like your father", to which he retorted, almost angrily, "I want to be like my faver."

In these pictures Mark and Kristen were 1 and 3.  The look on Mark's face says it all.

I feel like it's dejavu.

Throwback Thursday - Milly Bennett

Our church family lost another wonderful woman on Sunday, Millie Bennett.

The daughter of one of our former pastors has been posting pictures to Facebook from when her father was the pastor of our church.  This is one of those pictures.  From left to right is the Pastor's wife Doris Flower, Lucille Choquette, Milly Bennett (at the time Carvell), and lastly Dot Burt (my son-in-law's grandmother).  All of these women are gone now - our loss, Heaven's gain.

Throwback Thursday - Our Backyard in 1974

I was looking through some of my old pictures trying to pick out something for this post and I was amazed at our backyard in 1974. The people who live behind us, Jack and Judy, have, over the years, planted so much that it almost seems like a park behind us. In this picture, though, you can still see the other side of our circle.

The swing set was my old swing set that was still in my grandmother's back yard in the early '70's. Our friends Ralph and Linda took it to their house, cleaned it up and painted it, used it for awhile and then gave it back to us when we got a house.

Kristen was almost 2 in this picture. Isn't she cute?

Mason Jofuf Rackey - A Digital Scrapbook Page

I have gone almost totally digital for scrapbooking - except for the crops at my friend Janice's house.

This page is from 2012.

I'll probably never catch up, especially with another grandchild on the way.  I'm okay with that.  I love doing it.

Berta, Nancy, and Edward Radtke

This is a picture of Paul's grandparents and his Aunt Nancy. My father-in-law has been visiting his sister in the Boston area quite often lately as she has been having some health concerns.

This Fall, on our way to the Cape, we stopped by Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree to see his grandparents' graves. It was the first time that I had ever been there.

I have a pact to take pictures of as many family graves as possible.
