Today Toby came home from work and noticed the back door was ajar, then he noticed the door knob. Someone had broken into their house. They took laptops, camera, Marley's new DS that she got for her (early) birthday, and the penny jar, along with a suitcase (with Toby's bathing suits in it) that hadn't gotten completely unpacked from Disney.
The Police are working on it, but the idea of someone in your house, going through your things is very unsettling. Sometimes life is not fair.

Our house got broken into when we were building. They stole skylights, electrical panel, wire, sliding doors. I actually tracked down who did it, but the local Police were useless. I finally went to the State Police, but too much time had passed. It was actually someone who had been working on our house! I even went to his employer and verified his vehicle that was "spotted" ~ WE KNOW WHO DID IT!!!...Next time, I'll start with the State Police.
