Today was my father-in-law's birthday. Ever since I can remember, he has not wanted to celebrate his birthday. The only exception to that is when it comes to Marley. She is welcome to celebrate his birthday. Because we have so many birthdays between August 22nd and September 23rd, we usually pick a convenient date during that month and celebrate all of us at once. But, yesterday was his actual birthday, and it was on a Friday (which is Grandma, Marley and the Babas' night) so we had a little party. Marley came fully loaded with present, card and birthday cake. Her daycare lady, Junie, is taking a cake decorating class. Somehow she found out that it was Marley's Big Baba's birthday tonight and she made a tiny cake, completely decorated just like a professional cake. Marley made a clay pig, and also a really cute card. I think Big Baba was really pleased with all the attention from Marley on his B-day.

He does have big hands, but yes his hand does look strangely big. It must have been closer to the camera!
The human mind somehow compensates for these things, but the camera records what it sees. That is why professional photographers know that they have to be physically 6 to 8 feet from their subject's face so that the fact that the nose is closer to them than the ears is not significant. If you shoot closer, people have bigger noses and faces are distorted.
I meant to say AT LEAST 6 to 8 feet.
So glad to see Uncle Freddie and know that he is having some happy times!!!!

What a nice Birthday Baba had! The picture of Marley giving him a kiss is so sweet. Fred just adores her you surely can tell.
