There is a link at the end of each post that says the number of comments. Click on it.
In the "Choose an identity" section, select the "Name/URL" button. An area will appear under this button where you can enter your first name or initials.
You do not need to open any account or identify yourself any further.
Enter your comment in the box provided and hit "Publish Your Comment".

It works!
I read about the "apple"!! I'm glad to hear that you were laughing...and not upset with Paul. It must have been a terrible shock having that apple hit your closed window and splat all over you.....Good picture of Paul!!
