200/365 - A Day at Forest Park with Marley and Me

Today Marley and I went to Forest Park. We started out at On the Hill for "brunch."

Then we headed off to the park. Marley seems to really like the birds there. One of her favorites was an African parrot named Kizzy. We renamed him Kizzy Red-Tail. He was really funny with all his different sounds and head bobbing.

One of the peacocks had babies, so cute!

Another favorite was the mule (!?!)

The turkey had company for dinner. The little chipmunk kept running back and forth to the turkey's bowl.

The turkey really is not a very pretty animal, is it?

The male peacock let Marley walk along with him.

This camel must have been hot. He looked dead. I have never seen a camel do this before!!

She fed the ducks Goldfish crackers (hope they are okay!)

We were talking about good memories that I had as a child about Forest Park and she said that she had a good memory here. She brought me over to where her good memory was. It was being at the park with her school class and this was the spot where they went.

When we got too hot to stand it, we headed over to the water fountains (not that it helped me any) where she cooled off and had a good time.

Then it was off to swimming lessons. This was the first time that I had taken her and it was fun seeing her in the water.

What a busy day, but also what a fun day!
