249/365 - Kayaking on the Housatonic River

Today we went kayaking on the Housatonic River. The next four pictures are digital scrapbook pages that I made the first time we went kaying here in June 2007.

Today, the swallows' nests under the bridges were almost gone. They must re-build them in the Spring. I saw some of the same birds, but they weren't under the bridge going in and out of their nests.

There were a few left though. I just think they are so cute.

The weather was absolutely perfect today. Sunny, 70's, not much wind. The river was almost like glass.

We saw lots of turtles sunning themselves on logs.

It was a perfect end-of-summer day.
