So... you remember a couple of weeks ago the snafu that happened when Marley and another 5th grade classmate were supposed to say the Pledge of Allegiance at the West Springfield Town Hall? (see Sept). Well, last week Kristen got another call from the school asking if Marley would come back this week and say the Pledge. Kristen didn't think she would do it (Marley was quite relieved that they forgot and she didn't have to do it as she was nervous), but said she would ask her. Well, the good sport that Marley is, she said she would do it.
This time the school principle came also (maybe to make sure they didn't forget them again?).
So, we all trouped back again tonight! This time they brought the children up front and showed them where to stand, etc.
They did a perfect job. I was so proud of Marley; not just for saying the Pledge but also for going back a second time to say it!
