Project Life App Scrapbook pages - Mason's first cookie decorating at Stacia's, 11 months of Miriam

Stacia sent me a picture last week of Mason's first attempt at decorating cookies at her house this past November.  I had the other pictures so I decided to make a scrapbook page.

Miriam turned 1 this week.  This page is 11 months of Miriam!

Miriam's first trip to the museum

Paul and I wanted to take the kids to the museum over Christmas break but the problem is that we can't fit all three of them in our car at this point with two car seats!  Kristen came up with a good idea.  She said that if Janelle could drop off Mason and Miriam on her way to work, then Kris and Toby would pick Marley up on their way home from work.  It was perfect.  We were there from about 11:45 until 5:00.  Miriam was so good there; she even took a nap. We all love the museum, and for now, our transportation problem is worked out!

Digital Project Life 2014, Week 41, and Project Life App Scrapbook pages, Mason's first time at the library, Mason playing baseball, Mason playing tennis, Mason beginning kindergarten, Gordon College Columbus day with Marley, You & Me (Mason and Miriam)

So.... I got behind on my Project Life in September, and then we went on vacation for two weeks - the last week of September and first week in October.

I'm trying to catch up, starting with the week we got back from vacation.  I'll have to work on back pages when I can.  Scrapbooking is never really up to date anyway, and that's okay.

This is week 41.

On September 17th, a few days before we left on vacation, the Project Life App was launched.

I started doing Becky Higgins' Project Life system of scrapbooking in 2012.  At that time I did it manually, with physical product.  In March of 2013 I switched to digital and LOVED it!  They are the pages that I post here on this blog.

The Project Life App gives you the ability to do these pages on your iPhone and/or iPad.

I had so much fun with this on vacation.  Every day I made one page for that day.  When I eventually get all my vacation pictures organized I will post those vacation Project Life pages.

For now, here are the pages that I have done with this App.  I love doing this!

That's it for now.

Digital Project Life 2014, Week 7; and 2013 Week 14. Scrapbook pages The Lego Movie, and Easter Sunday 2013

I made this page for Mason's scrapbook because this was his first time in a movie theater. It was an "awesome" movie and we want to go back with the rest of the family.

This is an insert about Easter Sunday 2013. I made extra copies to put in Marley's and Mason's scrapbooks - one of the best things about digital scrapbooking - how easy it is to make extra copies.

Moving right along with 2013. Only 4 weeks left!

And that's all for today people.....

Digital scrapbook pages - 4th Annual Mason and Marley Zoo Picture, Playing or reading in the leaves, Mason's first time at the Singing Christmas Tree

I have been really getting into digital scrapbooking lately. I have never really enjoyed the "crafty" part of scrapbooking and doing it digitally with templates, pictures and stories totally fits my style.

So, I thought I would share with you the latest pages that I have been working on.

Okay, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Project Life 2013, Week Twenty-Six. Scrapbook page - Hello Summer 2013

Here are my digital pages for Week 26, June 23-29, 2013

I also added an insert, a digital page, about taking Marley kayaking.

This is the back side of the page.

And that's it for week 26!

Change....

Last day at 32 Carroll St.

First Day at 150 Elmar Dr.

This was moving weekend for Mark and Janelle.  We were lucky to have good weather, lots of help, and a moving company (a guy and his son that we had used to move Dot).  Even so, moving is such a lot of work, in so many ways.  The worst is behind them though.  Now it's the unpacking and organizing.  Good thing they're young!

Throwback Thursday - Visiting Gordon College with Marley

On Monday Paul, Marley and I took a ride to Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Awhile ago Marley and I were talking about where her mother and Uncle Mark went to college. I asked her if she would like to visit there some day. Homecoming at the college was Columbus Day weekend, Marley had the day off from school, and I thought it would be fun to go there today

Paul and I hadn't been there since Mark graduated in 1998. There were a lot of changes, but there were many things that were the same.

Kristen went to Gordon in 1990.  Lewis Hall was her dorm for the four years that she was there.

Kristen and her roommate for the first two years, Mearlene

Marley and I went in the dorm, walked up the stairs to the dorm rooms and peeked into the hallway.

Mark went to Gordon in 1992.  This was his first dorm, Ferrin Hall.

Ferrin Hall looks pretty much the same.

What a fun day.  It was very nostalgic for Paul and me.  Marley was very impressed with the campus and thinks she would like to go there.  As much as I hate to see her grow up, I would love to see her go to Gordon.  It really is a special place.  I felt the same way about it today as I did the first time I went there in 1990.

When we got home, Paul found an old list that he had kept of all of our visits to Gordon - 87 trips in eight years.  Good memories.

Throwback Thursday - Vacation, Maine 1979

One of the first vacations that we took as a family was a week in Scarborough, Maine. A friend of ours at church owned a 4 bedroom cottage just up the street from the beach. The cottage had a very small guest cottage, which is what we rented.

Mark was almost five and Kristen was almost seven. We had a wonderful time going to the beach, riding bikes, and going to the amusement park at Old Orchard Beach. We also met up with Paul's Aunt Marge and Uncle Henry who were staying not far from there at a Salvation Army camp.

A few years later, we heard that our friend was selling the cottage and guest cottage. For a little while, we really entertained buying it and moving there. Eventually, logic took over and we decided not to, but every now and then I think about what it would have been like to actually live at the beach!

Mason's first visit to the Agawam Library

Marley has been staying with me for most of her Spring break, and today we were going to the library. Since I was babysitting for Mason also today, I thought it was a good time for his first visit. He was very excited about this. Marley and I explained to him that you have to "be quiet" in the library; you needed to whisper. He was very good and whispered just about every time he said anything. When we went to check out their books, Marley was holding him so he could see what was going on. She told the clerk that it was Mason's first time at the library. The clerk asked him how he liked it and he whispered something that neither of us could hear. I laughed, explaining what we had told him, and said that I didn't think he would take me quite so literally!

Here are some pictures from his first visit (and yes, Marley likes to read in some strange places).

These are the books he took out today.

Marley loves to read and goes through books so fast. She goes to the library near her house, but she also likes to go to the library near my house. I'm sure that this will be one of many trips for Mason!
