Girls Ministries Awards Night

Tonight was Awards Night for Girls Ministries at my church. Pat and I got our "5 year" pins, which was a surprise. I can't believe it has been that long. Marley is in Stars 3 and she received quite a few awards (I can't take a decent picture in that gym to save my life, but she is second from left). We also had a little party for the girls with gifts and "cookie decorating."

Mason has been coming with me to Prims on Wednesday nights since September, as Mark has his "clinical" for school, which is 7am to 7 pm. He was excited to be going to a Christmas party. He sat with Aunty Kris and Uncle Toby because, as he told his father, "Grandma had to work."

He looked so cute in his little Christmas sweater.... which I got no pictures of.  Just goes to show what a rather hectic night Awards Night is LOL!

Girls Ministries Honor Ceremony

Tonight was the Honor Ceremony for Girls Ministries at my church. Pat and I do Prims, which is for 7 and 8 year old girls. In order to "honor", the girls have to achieve 18 badges over the two years. This year two of our girls, Katya and Sarah, were our Prim "honorees."





Pat and I will definitely miss these two next year!

Girls Ministries Sleepover

Tonight was the sleepover for Girls Ministries. This is the 4th time that Marley and I have done this.

I had been sick with some type of virus all week so I decided that I couldn't stay overnight. I helped out during the evening but skipped out at about 11 o'clock when the girls bedded down to watch Tangled.

It was a fun night for the girls. There were crafts, games, food, a sort of comedy/skit show, and a movie.

This is Marley (in the pink) getting her badges for Stars. All of the girls groups got their awards tonight; Rainbows, Daisys, Prims, Stars and Friends. It was quite a (hectic) night!

239/365 - Honor Prims

Tonight was the Girls Ministries Honor Ceremony at my church. This picture is of our two Honor Prims with their moms.

It was a special night for the girls, 9 in all from Rainbows, Daisies, Prims, and Stars, ending in a really nice banquet. The chocolate covered strawberries were a real hit!

195/365 - Two Stars

This is Hannah and Marley after Stars tonight. Kris and Marley "tie dyed" Marley's shirt and bandanna. Aren't they cute? I think I might commandeer Kris for a craft night at Prims.

God's Gospel Girls Sleepover

Tonight Marley and I went to the Girl's Ministries sleepover. You were supposed to dress up as your favorite woman in the Bible. I went as Deborah (how appropriate) and Marley went as Mary. I wasn't going to bother dressing up, but when the leaders went to set up the night before, the Children's Pastor said that we could borrow the drama team's costumes if we were really careful with them. I had no idea what Deborah would wear, but I thought my costume looked rather judge-like.

It was a fun night. Pat (the leader of Prims) and I were in charge of dipping pretzels in chocolate. I think we had the easiest job. Other leaders were in charge of hair, nails, games, making pillows (which in the end I had to help out with :( ).



I'm not sure if I will actually sleep over next year. That floor is awfully hard (not to mention not sleeping much).
