Today Marley gave me this mug that she painted for me last week at daycare. Junie loves crafts (as opposed to someone else we know who hates them lol).

337/365 - A suprise Christmas wreath

Tonight when we got home from work there was a box from LL Bean by the back door. We knew we hadn't ordered anything, so what was it?

It was a Christmas wreath from Janelle's dad, Joe. He is coming for Christmas dinner this year and sent us this wreath.




It's absolutely beautiful. Thanks, Joe!

I'll take a picture of it in the daytime and publish it later.

246/365 - Gifts

Marley brought these over for me tonight. She made them at Junie's (her daycare), probably last summer she thinks. I'm not sure what prompted her to bring them to me tonight but I just think they are so cute. She didn't know what they were made of, maybe something like plaster of Paris. She brings me gifts a lot!

Playing.....

We had a really fun time tonight playing with our new navigation system. We set it for Szot Park in Chicopee which we had no idea how to get to (neither of us know how to get around Chicopee), then set it to Westover Air Force Base, then to a restaurant in Holyoke, then home. Wow! It really worked. We use to have to go back to I-91 or the turnpike each time we needed to get to a different place in Chicopee.

New car, new kayak racks, new cruise control, new navigation system. I hope our brains can keep up!

359/365 - Hand knit socks for Paul

It was hard to choose one picture out of many from Christmas day, but I decided to pick this one of Paul modeling his new hand-knit socks from Kristen. He has been complaining that he is the only one in the family who doesn't have hand-knit socks. He loved them, but Kris says they may be the only ones he gets. According to her they were too big, and the colors were very boring to knit!

266/365 - Perfect birthday present

A few of the girls from work went to the Big E this week and they bought me this adorable plaque for my birthday. I just love it! I was touched by their kindness; it was such a personal gift, one that they put a lot of effort into (and they even got all of the names spelled right).
