Digital Project Life 2014, Week 7; and 2013 Week 14. Scrapbook pages The Lego Movie, and Easter Sunday 2013

I made this page for Mason's scrapbook because this was his first time in a movie theater. It was an "awesome" movie and we want to go back with the rest of the family.

This is an insert about Easter Sunday 2013. I made extra copies to put in Marley's and Mason's scrapbooks - one of the best things about digital scrapbooking - how easy it is to make extra copies.

Journey 2 at IMAX

School vacation this week. Marley slept over last night and we wanted to do something special with her. Because of the fact that she had walked all around the Boston Aquarium yesterday, and she and Paul still had colds, we decided to go to the IMAX theater in Natick to see Journey 2 in 3D, which would be more low key. We left the house about 1:00. We had lunch at Kelly's and then walked around Jordan's Furniture. Marley loved the big room with library books and lots of leather sofas and chairs. She said she was going to have a room like that when she grew up and while we walked around she picked out the furniture that she would have.



Then we headed upstairs to the IMAX theater. I told her she had to come into the Ladies Room with me but I wouldn't tell her why. The first time I went in there I was so surprised. The stalls have mirrors for doors on the outside and windows on the inside. While you are sitting there you can see people washing their hands outside. It is freaky! She got quite a kick out of that.



We all loved the movie.





It was a take on Jules Verne's book Mysterious Island. It was the second movie in that series, and Toby said they actually had the first one -Journey to the Center of the Earth, so we stopped at their house and watched that movie when we got home. What a fun day we had!

Dolfin Tale

Mission Impossible IV, Ghost Protocol

Monday, Paul's day off. We decided to go to Abington, MA. This was one of my Uncle Bob's pastorates and I have a project going to take pictures of all of them.

On the way we decided to have lunch at Kelly's restaurant in Jordan's Furniture in Natick (great roast beef sandwiches). While we were there we looked to see what IMAX movies were playing. Mission Impossible IV, Ghost Protocol, was playing and since we had gotten such a late start for Abington, we decided to switch plans and go to the movies. It was really good. We both enjoyed and it wasn't crowded at all like the last time we were there on a Saturday to see Avatar. Another fun day. I'm getting used to being "retired!"

Santa Paws

This morning I got a call from Kristen asking if Marley could spend the day with me. She came home from school sick on Wednesday. She is doing much better but she was just not up to going back to school. Marley brought this movie with her and we watched it together. She said that she loved this movie and it was one of her favorite Christmas movies. She warned me that it was sad in parts and, oh my goodness, I cried for the whole end of the movie. I thought it was a really cute movie, but the best part was watching it with a 10 year old who still sees the magic in Christmas.

The Help

Mondays are now Paul's day off, and we were going to do something fun but realized we had too many errands to go anywhere far. So, we went to the movies tonight to see The Help. Great movie, LOVED it!

338/365 - Tangled

Today Paul, Marley and I went to see Disney's new movie Tangled. We all loved it, especially Marley and I. Baba said that it was the first movie in a long time where he stayed awake (of course, we went to the 3:40 showing!!). The scenery just captured your imagination with the little castle hidden in the woods. We didn't see the 3D one but even so the imagery was absolutely beautiful. I'm sure this is one that we will want to see over and over.

On another note, today Minnie learned how to get up on Izzy's perch; the only place that Izzy had where Minnie didn't go. She got up the same way Izzy does. She must have seen her at some point. She stayed up there for quite a while. I don't think that Izzy saw her up there. We could have a problem when she does!

204/365 - Friday night at Agawam Cinemas

Years ago, before Friday night with Marley and the Babas, Paul and I used to go to Agawam Cinemas a lot on Friday nights.

Tonight, we were supposed to come home, pack, and be ready to leave for vacation early Saturday morning. We were both really tired and decided to spend Saturday getting ready and then leave early Sunday morning. Then we decided to go to the movies. We saw Robin Hood. I really enjoyed it (Paul slept through a lot of it) but I might have to rent the movie and put the captions on. That English accent is hard to understand.

Even though I would never want to give up Marley and the Babas night, it seemed kind of nice to go to the movies on Friday night again!

203/365 - Mark, Janelle, and Mason in Maine

Tonight we got an e-mail from Mark with a picture and a video. The picture is of Mason and Mark at LL Bean.

As an added bonus, last night I was looking at some old videos and I came across my first attempt at movie making. I wanted to see if I could put in on my blog, so if it works I'll leave it here.

Avatar at Imax

So...I am actualy blogging this from Jordan's Furniture (well actually from Kelly's restaurant which is in Jordan's - they have WiFi). We went to the Imax theater in Jordan's in Natick to see Avatar in 3D. I loved it! It was wonderful.

This is like no other furniture store I have ever seen. The main door enters onto "Bourbon St." in New Orleans. They have a Blues Brothers Mardi Gras show on the hour that was really cute. We had fun walking all around there.

p.s. They also really do have a furniture store!

328/365 - Sophie's Choice

Last night at Borders Paul bought this DVD for $5.99. It was released in 1982 and we saw it at the movies but I really didn't remember much of it. It is a haunting story of a Holocaust survivor. We watched it this morning (I have today and tomorrow off to get ready for Thanksgiving). It was worth watching, but now I have to get to work vacuuming, etc.!

We reserved a Redbox movie on line tonight, James Bond Quantum of Solace.

198/365 - Up

Paul, Marley and I went to see the movie "Up" tonight. It was funny (hysterical at times), sweet, sad, and scary all at once. We LOVED it!! We give it 4 stars.

148/365 - Night at the Museum

We went to see this movie tonight. Oh my goodness, I loved it. I really like museums and the thought of them coming to life at night just intrigues me. I'm not sure which one I like the most, the first one or this one. They're both right up my alley!

Daisy/Prim Rally Day

Today was the Daisy/Prim Rally Day in Charlton, MA. For more info see Project 365. The picture above is of the girls getting their "instructions" when we first got there, i.e. stay together, be polite, listen to your leaders, etc. The video below is why I really posted this. I think it is so cute. It is all the Prims in the district singing their Prim song. Enjoy!

65/365 - Shirley Temple DVD's

Last year we bought an 18 movie DVD set of Shirley Temple movies. They are wonderful. Marley, the Babas and I have been watching them on Friday nights. We've watched most of them once, now we are watching them in numerical order.
