Talking Tom on the iPad

Mason usually goes to Junie's daycare on Wednesdays, but today he had a cold and a cough. Mark asked if he could come here and of course I said yes. I felt so bad for him today, none of his usual energy, but he was entertained by Talking Tom on my iPad.

Crop at Janice's

Janice announced last month that she wanted to have two crops in February. They are usually on Saturday, but I suggested having one during the week since none of are working.

She made a nice brunch for the four of us. I love scrapbooking and I love having crops at Janice's. Thanks Janice!!!

Keyboard tray

My hands have been bothering me lately, mostly my right hand. I have been spending more time at the computer and Paul thinks my discomfort is from the mouse and the fact that where we have the computer is totally not ergonomic. We eventually need to get a new computer and table, but for now we got a keyboard tray that pulls out from underneath the table. The jury is still out as to whether I like it, and whether it will help!

Super Bowl Sunday. The kids all came for dinner, but then they scattered to other places to watch the game, which just left me, Paul, and Big Baba to watch the Super Bowl. I was just as happy, as watching it with the boys would have been very nerve-wracking, especially as it turned out. Oh well, there's always next year.

Are we still in Agawam?

Sometimes lately since Mark has been in school, on Friday nights it is Marley, Mason, MARK and the Babas. This afternoon he came over a little early so that Mason could play in the backyard. Mason just loves to kick the ball around with Mark.

Just to backtrack a little though - Mason has been learning to say his full name, Mason Jofuf Rackey is what it sounds like! He also knows that he lives in Springfield, and that Grandma and Baba live in Agawam. While he and Mark were kicking the ball around, it went into our neighbor's yard. He and Mark crossed the fence and went into the neighbor's yard to get it. Mason asked his Dad, "Are we still in Agawam?" Too cute!

It was too cold out there for me today, but Paul took some pictures of them playing in the yard. Warning - lots of pictures. I just couldn't decide which ones to post so I posted most of them!

All that is left is the tree....

Believe it or not, today I put away the rest of our Christmas decorations. Everything except the Christmas tree, that is. The Christmas tree needs some repair work. Some of the branches have broken off from the central stem and need to be either hose clamped, or zip tied. The hose clamp list is a story for another day, but Paul has a list of all of the things he has hose clamped. It usually brings gales of laughter to whoever he reads it to!! I think zip ties are taking over repair jobs lately though.

Anyhow......everyting else is put away. I decided to leave my new Willow Tree nativity out this year. I just can't put it away yet.

Wednesday

Well, today I forgot to take a picture! Back in November when I got laid off I decided to take a picture of something that I did for the first year of my "retirement."

No picture...but it was a pretty normal Wednesday ~

- The Atrium called saying that Dot was quite anxious about wanting to leave there, she wanted to go for a walk and could we come and take her out for awhile? So, Paul and I went there and went for a walk with her. It was such a beautiful day, high 61degrees. Maybe she had Spring fever and just wanted to go for a walk by herself. She used to do that all the time at her home. Then we took her for a ride to get Mason at Junie's daycare. We got her home just in time for dinner. She seemed fine going back.

- Prims with Mason. He hasn't been there for a few weeks because Mark was on Christmas break. It's going to take a few weeks to get him back to where he doesn't want to be held the whole night.

- I should have taken a picture of Miss Pat. Her birthday was last Sunday. She turned 70! You would never know it. She is a very young 70. It must be because she is around kids so much. In addition to doing Prims, she also is a substitute teacher for 1st grade on Sunday, works in Super Church, and teaches Junior Bible Quiz. Happy Birthday Miss Pat!

This is Mark and Mason "relaxing" after dinner tonight. It didn't last long though. Two year olds aren't much for relaxing. Ha Ha!

Mission Impossible IV, Ghost Protocol

Monday, Paul's day off. We decided to go to Abington, MA. This was one of my Uncle Bob's pastorates and I have a project going to take pictures of all of them.

On the way we decided to have lunch at Kelly's restaurant in Jordan's Furniture in Natick (great roast beef sandwiches). While we were there we looked to see what IMAX movies were playing. Mission Impossible IV, Ghost Protocol, was playing and since we had gotten such a late start for Abington, we decided to switch plans and go to the movies. It was really good. We both enjoyed and it wasn't crowded at all like the last time we were there on a Saturday to see Avatar. Another fun day. I'm getting used to being "retired!"

Marley asked me if I would help her clean her room. I told her the next Sunday that Mark, Janelle and Mason were not coming for dinner that I would. Today was the day! Toby and Kris made dinner, and Marley and I cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned.

Marley was a real trooper. She worked right along with me the whole time. Later, on the way to Bible Quiz at church I asked her if she was tired. She said, "No." I was exhausted!

Her room looked really good though.
